Our Partnership of schools

Courageous Advocacy

At St Michael's we understand that our children are the decision makers of the future. As such we want them to be sensitive to what needs to change in our world. This week across the school, we have been developing our skills in Courageous Advocacy: bravely speaking up for vulnerable people and animals.

The children have had a series of special assemblies focused on encouraging their awareness of local and global issues. They showed wisdom by considering which projects and activities they would like to support. Work will continue over the coming weeks.

Today, children from Oyster and Saltern Cove delivered presentations to the rest of the school to announce our status as a 2041 School. This means that we are now Champions of The Antarctic and committed to campaigning for the ongoing preservation of this unspoilt and beautiful nation. You can ask your child to tell you more.
