This week has been Science Week! We’ve had so much fun exploring British wildlife, learning about the amazing animals and plants that share our environment. Through exciting activities and hands-on investigations, we’ve discovered why it’s so important to care for our planet and protect its natural habitats.
We are thrilled to be offering a new extended after school club provision running Monday to Friday from 3pm-6pm available for all 4-8 year olds. Booking could not be easier, simply enrol via MCAS under the wraparound care tab.
Living here in the Bay swim and water safety is so important, and as part of our Key Stage 2 curriculum our Year 3 children are taking part in swimming lessons with Torbay Leisure Centre. This is a fabulous opportunity open to all children here at St Michael’s.
Our Year 2 children had a visit this term from the Dental Hygiene team to discuss the importance of tooth brushing and oral hygiene. They explored the benefits of healthy oral hygiene and how they can help themselves.
The children were all filled with excitement as they celebrated World Book Day today, embracing their love of stories and characters. Dressed to go on an adventure, they embarked on a journey to Space, Narnia, Hogwarts and Under the Sea. Throughout the day they shared their favourite tales and took part in a variety of fun, creative activities inspired by books. From storytelling sessions to art and writing inspired by their beloved stories, the day sparked imagination and a genuine enthusiasm for reading. The laughter, curiosity, and engagement throughout the day reflected the wonderful impact that books have on all our lives!
